Detailed reports for each EMEP country

This section presents updated information on pollution by Heavy Metals and Persistent Organic Pollutants for each country - a Party to the Convention. On relevant pages per each country official data and expert estimates of emissions as well as calculated depositions and concentrations, their spatial distribution, deposition totals and contributions to them of national and of other European countries are demonstrated. HM and POP concentrations in air and precipitation measured at monitoring stations of a given country are given in comparison with modelling results.

The information has the following structure:

Heavy Metals

HM emission distribution from sources of a given country with spatial resolution 50x50 km (in graphical and digital form) used for computations for 2005;

HM annual emission totals of a given country for 2005;

HM deposition fields for 2005 with spatial resolution 50x50 km (in graphical and digital form) both on the territory of a given country and on territories of other countries from its national sources;

Maps of contribution of external anthropogenic sources to HMs deposition on the territory of a given country;

Contribution of European countries to HM depositions on the territory of a given country for 2005;

Contribution of sources of a given country to depositions to other European countries for 2005;

Comparison of model results against measurements for 2005.

Persistent Organic Pollutants

POP emission distribution from sources for 2005 PCDD/Fs, B[a]P, B[b]F, B[k]F, IP;

POP annual emission totals of a given country used for modelling;

Calculated concentrations in various media including atmosphere (means over the country, minimum and maximum values in the country) of PCDD/Fs, B[a]P, B[b]F, B[k]F, IP for 2005;

Maps of spatial distributions of selected PCDD/Fs, B[a]P, B[b]F, B[k]F, IP in air, soil and vegetation;

Transboundary deposition fluxes and air concentrations of PCDD/Fs and B[a]P in 2005;

Comparison of measurements with POP modelling results.
