Meteorological Synthesizing Centre - East
 
Meteorological Synthesizing Centre – East (MCS-E) is one of the international research Centres of the Co-operative Programme for Monitoring and Evaluation of Long-Range Transmission of Air Pollutants in Europe (EMEP) operating under the LRTAP Convention of UNECE (CLRTAP). The Centre was established in 1979 and focused its efforts on model assessment of the environment pollution with various toxic substances. For the last two decades it has been responsible for support of the political process within CLRTAP with model estimates of transboundary pollution by heavy metals (HMs) and persistent organic pollutants (POPs).
